Founded in 2013 by Claudia & Joel Navarro — a Yakima family sharing the flavors of home, one plate at a time.
The journey
Built on family & hustle.
Nino's Mexican Grill was founded by Claudia and Joel Navarro after bringing more than 20 years of culinary experience from California to Washington. What began as serving authentic Mexican food at private events quickly grew through strong community support and a passion for sharing family recipes.
Before opening their first location, Claudia and Joel worked tirelessly to save and build their dream. Their commitment to fresh ingredients, authentic flavors, and consistent quality helped establish Nino’s as a local favorite.
A major turning point came when a local high school student featured Nino's Mexican Grill in an article, helping introduce their story to the community.
In 2018 they opened their Summitview location, where they continue serving authentic Mexican cuisine while staying true to their family values and dedication to exceptional customer service.

After more than 20 years of culinary experience in California, Claudia and Joel brought their passion for authentic Mexican cooking to Washington. They built Nino's Mexican Grill on shared dreams, hard work, and a commitment to fresh ingredients and consistent quality that keeps guests coming back.
